I rode this morning in coolish conditions (53° when I finished, shortly before noon), but brilliant autumn sunshine. I ended up doing 1.5 round trips to Marsh Park—on the second, I rode as far south as Textile Rd., and then, rather than turning and heading east to the park, I wheeled about and headed back home. This gave me a ride of 13.6 miles, in 1 hour and 19 minutes. My left front and then rear wheels were making a flapping sound that concerned me (not simultaneously). I was worried that it might indicate a looming flat. But I made it home OK, and a visual inspection revealed no problems (at least to this untrained observer). I may tack on another ride this afternoon, but am not yet fully committed to the idea—we'll see.
