For the third straight day, I rode in a healthy wind (though today it was intermittent). Setting off at 7:30 this morning, I thought I might try for 4 consecutive round trips, for only the third time (the others being August 1 and last Saturday). But instead, I settled for two, completing the 17.5 miles in one of my fastest times for that distance (1:47:40) under sullen, gray skies.
I see, too, that I am coming up quickly on 200 hours of elapsed time for riding this year, and hope to pass that next week. I may also pass another milestone—the 1831.8 miles I rode in 2013, when I was still on my bicycle. A good week next week will put me over it by the weekend, as I am now at 1723.4.
