93rd ride - 8/20/2015

Today, like yesterday, I rode consecutive round trips to Marsh Park. I ran until December 2011, when arthritis forced me to stop. But while I was still running (or, as my friend Tom Brown called my efforts, "running", I was familiar with a mode of training that runners call LSD—for Long, Slow Distance. Well, today was an LSR ... doing 17.5 miles in 2 hours and 17 minutes ... except it was not even very L!

In the early part of the ride, I was happy to see again my friend and fellow rider Ron. And I was also delighted to observe that a weather front had clearly rolled through last night. We got significant rain overnight, and it was much cooler today and better riding conditions.
