This morning I rode a round trip to Marsh Park in a relatively slow time of 1 hour and 11 minutes. It was already 80°, and I got a good workout! I wanted to do a longer ride, but as the sweat rolled down my face, I was reminded of words from a couple of weeks ago, when a former teacher (from high school in the early seventies, JLR!) with whom I am friends on Facebook advised me that I need to spend time on my talents. And we both agreed that my talent is music, not riding! So I was encouraged to return home and work on a choral piece I just began Saturday night, and on which I am making good progress.
I'd like to tack on another ride late afternoon, but am not necessarily sanguine about that prospect, as it is supposed to be a scorcher of a day, with temperatures reaching the upper eighties.
