78th ride - 8/3/2015

This morning's ride was somewhat frustrating. I headed off full of energy and planning to do three round trips to Marsh Park. But as I was riding on the path along Textile Rd., headed east and up toward State Rd., when I came to the boardwalk where it crosses a wetland area, it was taped off - but no work was visible. They must have been preparing to do some work. I gave very brief thought to going to the road and circumventing this blockage, but quickly rejected that option, and headed back west on the trail. I added a few miles by heading south toward Saline for a little bit before returning home and totaling a ride of 10.3 miles in 1 hour and 13 minutes. And I consoled myself slightly that, since Michelle and I are going to dinner this evening at the home of our friend Bryce Babcock in Saline, and I am planning to ride to that (all on sidewalks), I'll get to add a little over 6 miles then.
